It can be easy to get caught-up in the hectic pace of a student routine. But, what if we were looking towards something larger than our day-to-day responsibilities? What if we kept our focus on the horizon?

Horizon, Sprott DECA’s fourth annual conference, is a 3-day event focused on building confident, young leaders through case competitions, workshops and networking events. In an age of innovation and globalization, there is more opportunity than ever-before for students to push the scope of their interests, knowledge and perspective. Through Horizon, students will be encouraged to develop key leadership abilities that push them to ignite change and keep their eyes on the horizon.

Entrepreneurship Competition
Sunrise

As a platform to help delegate develop a wide array of business skills, Sprott DECA has chosen to include an entrepreneurial pitch challenge to this year’s collection of case categories. The Sunrise Pitch Challenge intends to inspire and enable DECA entrepreneurs to bring forth their uniques ideas and receive valuable feedback.

Participants can sign up as individuals or as teams of up to 4. During the conference, delegates will pitch their ideas during a 5-10 minute presentation to a panel of judges who will then select the top pitch. All applicable materials must be submitted to judges after the presentation has been completed. There will also be a 5 minute Q&A period.

The Sunrise Pitch Challenge does not delineate based on industry or business strategy: anything and everything is welcome. This is a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to practice pitching and receive constructive comments to help lead to challenges and events such as Seed and Legacy.
